How It Started
After 28 years of working for one of the nation’s largest shipping couriers, our founder started AddressMe.com to solve some of the critical problems he saw while delivering packages and managing delivery routes. During his tenure, our founder noticed that some homes’ address numbers were hard, or impossible, to see at night or, even worse, the houses didn’t have any form of identification or a secure mailbox.
Identifying & Solving the Problem
Without proper identification and mailboxes, many important pieces of mail and packages were left undelivered, leaving the expecting recipient wondering where they went. Worse than undelivered packages, a lack of properly displayed address numbers can cause emergency services like police or EMS to miss the house they were called to.
AddressMe.com was born out of a need, and it was because of his direct experience that our founder started the company. Our founder worked his way up the corporate ladder at one of the nation’s largest shipping couriers, dedicating 28 years of his time to providing excellent service and managing exceptional teams. When he looked back on what he had accomplished, he felt that he could do more.
He decided to build something of his own. Something he could pass down to his children, and they could, in turn, pass down to theirs. After years of dreaming and planning, our founder felt confident enough to begin building a company that solved the issues he noticed while working in the shipping industry.
